Progress to date

I have completed all of my research and planning which is a huge part of progression. I feel as though I have done my best to find out institutional research, not only this but also my quantitive and qualitative research to find out exactly what my target audience would like in a magazine. I now have an idea of my colour scheme, price, layout and genre. I have looked into costumes, make-up and hairstyles and also props which will go with my theme. I feel as though I have progressed a lot since I started my blog and I have a clear idea of what I want to present my model like. I also have designed the layout of my magazine cover, contents page and double page spread and practised writing and designing by creating my own college magazine and the front cover of a magazine including Jarvis Cocker. I have looked at different magazines such as NME and Q over the past few weeks and analysed the things I do and do not like about them to get ideas for my own product. As well as doing assigned work for my blog, I have done independent research which has contributed to giving me new ideas. I feel a lot more specific than I did a few months ago when I first created my moodboard. I had an idea of what genre I was doing but now I have something exact which I will represent through my model and how I dress her. I have also booked my photoshoot so I am now up to date with my work.
